APDIM Participates at United Nations/Islamic Republic of Iran Workshop on the Space Technology Applications for Drought, Flood and Water Resource Management (Online, 9 - 11 August 2021)

The Asian and Pacific Centre for the Development of Disaster Information Management (APDIM) will participate at the workshop on the Space Technology Applications for Drought, Flood and Water Resource Management organized by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs through the United Nations Platform for Space-based Information for Disaster Management and Emergency Response (UN-SPIDER) and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The workshop will be organized online from 9 to 11 August 2021. 

APDIM will moderate session 3 on Vulnerability mapping and risk analysis of sand & dust storm. During this session APDIM will also present the latest findings of sand and dust storms risk assessment in Asia and the Pacific and  share how it contributes to a broader understanding of climate-related disaster risk through information management.
