Image Title

The Barcelona Dust Regional Center coordinates the activities of the WMO Sand and Dust Storms Warning Advisory and Assessment System (SDS-WAS) in Northern Africa, the Middle East, and Europe and it is recognized as Regional Specialized Meteorological Center on Atmospheric Sand and Dust Forecast. The center is jointly managed by the Meteorological State Agency of Spain (AEMET) and the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC).

Since 2010, it provides access to available dust products, both forecasts and observations, as well as, to relevant information on the advances of mineral dust research, serving thousands of users around the world every day.

In order to offer an improved experience to the users and adopt a more intuitive approach, the website has undergone a complete redesign.
