Asian and Pacific Centre for the Development of Disaster Information Management

The Asian and Pacific Centre for the Development of Disaster Information Management (APDIM) will moderate the session on data challenges and solutions for disaster risk management at the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction 2022 on 26 May 2022 from 11:15-12:45 Bali time.
The session will aim to highlight progress; lessons learnt, best practices and challenges along with the following main themes:
1. Data for understanding risk
2. Strengthening data use through technological advancements
3. Building resilience of statistical systems: lessons from COVID-19
4. Incentivizing and scaling up local-level data for DRR
