DisasterAWARE is an application provided by the Pacific Disaster Center. It presents visualisations of geospatial data to support ‘at-a-glance’ decision-making during all phases of disaster management, including mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
This data is available for the following hazards:
Hydrological and meteorological – avalanche, cyclone, flood, high surf, high wind, landslide, marine, storm, tornado, winter storm
Geophysical – earthquake, landslide, tsunami, volcanic activity
Climatological – extreme temperature, drought, wildfire
Man-made hazards
Biological events
Users can access a variety of data, including:
Real-time hazard incident data
Historical hazard data
Highly accurate predictive modelling
Demographic and socioeconomic data
Real-time meteorological observations and forecast data
Base map data, such as infrastructure and hydrography
High-resolution satellite imagery
Topographic data and digital elevation models
